The village - without any through traffic - is considered an insider tip in winter with its attractive winter sports facilities and the fantastic unspoiled landscape with the white slopes of the high valley! The ski area of Gargellen, the Schafberg (1,430 - 2,300m), is known for its guaranteed snow and variety. Sporty skiers appreciate the varied descents - even off-piste. Beginners and leisurely alpinists prefer the plateau at 2,130 m.
Gargellner guests enjoy all the amenities of the traditional mountain village at the head of the valley, but also the advantage of being able to reach the unlimited possibilities of the Montafon ski areas in just 10 minutes with
the free ski bus. The Montafon
ski pass is the all-inclusive ticket for 62 mountain railroads and ski lifts, 222 km of marked and groomed slopes and free ski bus.
